This is such an easy recipe that can make a good desert great! Or you can add it to coffee for a special little flavoring that has just 2 ingredients.
Pour one cup of brandy into a jar that has a lid. Take one vanilla bean, split in half to expose the seeds. Scrape the seeds from the bean. Place both the bean and the seeds into the jar of brandy. Give it a little shake each day for a week and voila, after a couple of weeks you have amazing vanilla bean extract!
I like to leave my beans in the jar; some like to remove them and place them into some sugar to make vanilla flavored sugar. Whatever you choose to do, enjoy your new “herbal tincture!”
