Probably my favorite snack of all time is Popcorn. I truly love it. Especially if we’re going to  settle in for an evening of Netflix. But I also love to add more nutrition when I can. Without sacrificing taste.

I’ve also long been a fan of fortified nutritional yeast. That parmesan cheese flavor can really take a lot of food, like soups, salads, casseroles, up a notch, without the dairy component. It’s got B vitamins, all nine essential amino acids (making it a complete protein), beta glucan (for managing cholesterol) and is low glycemic (good for managing blood sugar.) I’ve also become fascinated by the many benefits of seaweed, especially as a source of iodine.

I’ve put this blend together and am loving it. The recipe is completely open to adding or deleting ingredients.
