Genevieve and I just returned from hosting a positively wonderful Wellness Retreat at the iconic Castle Hot Springs Resort. We had amazing participants that were both inspiring and fully engaged. What a treat.

As one of the breakout sessions, I led a Seasonal Botanical Kitchen class where we discussed may common herbs and spices used for winter wellness. I will be posting many of those very easy recipes and a bit about each herb.

Let’s start with a delightful Fresh Ginger Lemon Tea (technically a tisane)

Ginger root is such a wonderful, pungent addition to your winter wellness regimen. It is Aromatic, anti-inflammatory, carminative, analgesic, antimicrobial

It is use in culinarily as a decoction, powder, or a tincture. It is often used to soothe migraines, cold/flu, ear infections, heart health and nausea

Fresh Ginger Lemon Tea

  • Grate 1 T fresh ginger and place in mug with splash of fresh lemon & honey
  • Pour boiling water into mug
  • Let steep for 15 minutes

Drink while warm.
