Got leftover Thanksgiving turkey that might make some great sandwiches?

Did you know that whole grain mustard is a snap to make and that it has medicinal qualities?

Mustard is a popular and warming herb that happens to also be a wonderful culinary condiment. It is also used for congestion, sinuses and lungs, arthritic pain and muscle aches & pains.

Homemade Multi-grain Mustard

Mix together in a bowl

  • ¼ c brown mustard seeds
  • ¼ c yellow mustard seeds
  • ½ c apple cider vinegar
  • Cover and let sit for 2 days

Place the seeds and liquid in a blender with

  • 1 t. each turmeric, chipotle powder
  • 2 t. paprika powder
  • 1 t. raw honey

Blend until ground into a paste. Enjoy as a condiment or eat by the spoonful for a stuffy nose!
