Have you heard about the amazing power of adaptogenic herbs? These are incredible powerhouses for helping us “adapt to stress.” There are a couple of different actions that these herbs exhibit; some are energizing while others are calming. One of my favorite energizing herbs is Eleuthero. Eleuthero has the distinction of being one of the best researched herbs in this category. In a test of over 5,000 people in the late 1990s, including factory workers to athletes, participants found that Eleuthero significantly improved their response to physical and mental stressors. The study participants were also shown to have better performance, health, and vitality. Eleuthero is widely available as a capsule, tincture, or tea.
